Loyola College - based in Baltimore, Maryland, it was founded in 1852 by Father John Early and eight other Jesuits. A Jesuit Catholic university, it is "...commited to educational and spiritual traditions of the Society of Jesus, to the ideals of liberal education and the development of the whole person."

Loyola College was the first college in the United States to bear the name of St. Ignatius of Loyola.

Loyola became coed in 1971 following a merger with Mount Saint Agnes College.
