The Maple Leaf is a train operated jointly by Via Rail and Amtrak from New York (Pennsylvania Station) to Toronto via Albany and Buffalo. The train travels during the day and takes approximately 12 hours for the 533 mile (858 km) journey. Around 2 hours of this is required for border controls at Niagara Falls. A change of locomotive is made at Albany.

A maple leaf is also a symbol of Canada, and the namesake of this train.
