Political Colours are colours used to represent a political stance or political ideology. generally, red is for socialism or communism. green for environmentalism, blue for aristocracy or monarchy (as in "blue blooded"), black for anarchism as well as fascism (one could postulate 'flat black' as the tincture of Fascism, and 'gloss black' for that of Anarchism, from the latin "áter" & "negro" respectively), white for pacifism (as in the surrender flag), etc.

Due to the nature of the electoral system in the United States, states that are won by Democrats in presidential elections are sometimes called "blue states," while those that vote Republican are "red states."
