Starting flights in 1947, the airline concentrated on inter-Alaskan services only, services being flown from Anchorage to the Aleutians, as the company's name suggested. Reeve Aleutian never expanded route beyond the Alaskan frontiers. It did, however, grow into a major regional airline, using types as Lockheed 188's and Boeing 727's. The airline beneffited from Alaska's popularity among lower United States and international tourists. Reeve Aleutian received a new wave of promotion in the 1990s when an article was published about the airline on Airliners. It was forced to cease operations, however, by the middle '90s. Destinations Inter-Alaskan only Fleet Lockheed L188 Boeing 727 Livery Blue and Red tail, with the lettering RAA in white. Blue fuselage with red cheatlines, and the name Reeve Aleutian over the middle passenger windows, in white. Other facts of interest Despite being a regional airline, Reeve Aleutian had considerable Model airplane market presence, having companies like Schabak and PacMin make models of their airliners.
