On August 27, 2003 two bombs were placed on the campus of Chiron (corporation) in Emeryville, California. The bombs exploded at 2:55 and 4:00 AM Pacific time. [1] A group calling itself Revolutionary Cells of the Animal Liberation Brigade E-mailed a statement to reporters taking credit for the bombing. Chiron is apparently a target of violence and protests because it reportedly contracted with Huntingdon Life Sciences, a New Jersey-based animal testing contractor. [1]
