The San Francisco River is a river in the east of Brazil, the largest tributary to the Gila River. The river is perenial which means it flows continuously all year.

The river is 1800 miles (2,900 kilometres) long. It rises in the Minas Gerais state in Brazil and continues on to the Atlantic Ocean. It is believed that the river originally entered the sea near Cape São Roque.

San Francisco River is also a song composed and sung by Flora Purim on the Perpetual Emotion album.
