Shah Rukh Khan (born November 2, 1965, New Delhi, India) is a successful Indian actor.

He has won five of the popular Filmfare awards in the Best Actor category. More recently he won the award in 2002 for his strong portrayal of a drunk lover in the remake of the tragic movie Devdas. He has also won two Filmfare critics award (one for one of his better movies Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa 1993) and one best villain award.

Born in Muslim family in Delhi, Sharukh Khan shone to limelight for his role as 'Abhimanyu' in the tele-serial 'Fauzi' (Soldier). His final shot to fame came with two of his successive roles as a Paranoid lover in Bazigar (1992) and Darr (1993). He followed these roles with a string of successful love stories that have kept him at number one.

His association with Karan Johar and Yash Chopra has produced one successful movie after the other.
