Silvertone Records were manufactured c. 1905 - 1931, and then revived briefly in 1940 - 1941. Early releases were single-sided lateral-cut disc records; in the late 1910s double-sided discs began to be released. Most were manufactured by Columbia Records, with some made by Paramount Records and Gennett Records.

There was also a short-lived British Silvertone Records label, issuing 8-inch discs in the mid 1930s.
