The Move is a late 1960s psychedelic rock band from Birmingham, England, led by Roy Wood.

Known for outrageous stage antics, they were sued by Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Harold Wilson for libel. Their hits included "Flowers in the Rain", "Do Ya", "California Man" and "Night of Fear", as well as a cover of "Stephanie Knows Who" by the American band Love.

In 1969, guitarist Jeff Lynne joined, after leaving Idle Race. The Move broke up in 1971. Wood, Lynne and drummer Bev Bevan went on to form Electric Light Orchestra.
