Winchcombe is a Cotswold town in Gloucestershire, England. During the Anglo-Saxon period, it was the chief city of Mercia. The Belas Knap burial chamber is far older, having been constructed in about 3000 BC. Notable buildings near the town include Sudeley Castle and the remains of Hailes Abbey.
